Im still working on it. Ill let you know. The snow melted. It went from 30 to 60 degrees today. Lol. I Might not get to it until the weekend but ill let you know.

Good for you! At 60, I'd still have the heat on, don't turn that off till it's 70+ outside. BTW it'll work and you'll be real happy.

I finally saw the adjustment and lock nuts. Lol. They were caked with rust bad. The wire brush worked good. Anyways the size looks metric? I'm almost ready to start adjusting. I think I'm going to do it when it's all the way lowered. What's the pros and cons of doing it this way again?

You have to do it in the down position with the tension off thee cables. There is procedure for doing it here on the forum, but I can't find it now.

Denis, Now I see what your working on. Great looking unit. I adjusted my cables while in the down position. I'm thinking I used 9/16" box wrenches and a pair of vise grips. In the down position, there will be slack in the cables. I used just enough pressure on the grips to hold the bolt on the inside of the frame (careful not to grip on threads). If you don't grip the bold, then the bolt will just spin when tightening it, you must prevent the bolt from spinning. Hold the inner nut, loosen the outer nut (about 1/2-3/4 turn). Hold the grips and tighten the inner nut maybe 2 full turns. I'd do that for both adjustment points. Raise the top, being watchful and also keep an ear out for noises. When in the up position, check out the safety bar, and look at the seal to see if further adjustments are needed. I hope I'm making myself clear. Any questions, just ask. I'll stand by with my phone for emails. When your ready to proceed, print this out and take it to the unit.

Air, As you can see, our friend Ruben gave us the link to the "how to", Thanks Ruben! In your case, you can lower the top as explained. Taking the slack out of the cable before making the adjustment is the main objective. I don't look forward to changing cables, but it's great to know how before I do. your almost done this evolution.

Airdenis4, just found out that sending you an email from my phone isn't the same as sending from the lap top. But we're still on track, I was adding another 7pin outlet to the Aframe of the Hi Lo. I saw it in a pic here on the forum and I'm sure others have done this simple mod. it allows me to stow the cable when parked and I have a spare for the TV in case I do something stupid.

Wow....who would have thought but I finally did it today. And it took lots and lots of turns. I did all the bolts and raised it a good solid inch. It still could use a little adjustments but it will do since I'm going camping tomorrow. Thought I would share. Once I got going it was really easy. Just a lot of getting up off the ground and testing it as I went.

Ya-hoo! Now go camp and enjoy! You earned it! Trust me, you'll find more to do. And as you gain confidence in your skills, you'll do even greater things. The safety bar DOES need to be straightened or replaced, as the bend will only get worse over time. Find a new one before you take the old one out.

I thought that the safety bar would engage but it does Nothing. Probably because its bent and doesnt go in the right spot. Either way the cables look very strong.
