Hi-Lo master switch card
 

Hi,

Sorry for the odd title -- couldn't think of a better one. Thought I'd share this with the group.

This is the "which button to push" card we made for our lift system hatch.

To make everything easier for us to remember, I labeled our switches, then made a card with instructions on how to raise/lower the Hi-Lo. Laminated the card, and stuck it on the inside of the little hatch. Here's a picture of it, as well as a pdf in case anyone would like to use it.

Of course, after I laminated it, I saw that "turn off lights" was missing -- so I added that on the pdf. :-)

That's nice, but here's another thing to remember:

Walk around outside to make sure everything is clear.

(It's easy to leave something on the rear bumper or battery box. And, if you're camped where there's hookups, you might have a water hose plugged in.)

AND, if you have a TV screen that drops down from an upper storage cabinet, make sure it's closed. In MY trailer, I have to insure the kitchen faucet is positioned to fit into the recess in the cabinet above it. I also have to be a bit careful with the hose to the hand-held shower head and the head itself. They are stored in the bathroom sink. Some people have to disconnect the power cord to the A/C before lowering.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but you MAY want to add anything that applies to your excellent checklist.

Great "MASTER SWITCH" check list. Already printed it out, Thanks. I, like many others, already have a "raising" and "lowering" checklist. As my DSO is learning to do these things in case of emergency, it really helps-she also thanks you.

We're newbies -- so checklists are VERY useful for us! I'm also working on a departure checklist with detailed interior/exterior checks for the trailer, for before and after lowering, as well as safety checks for the truck and "police call" of the campsite. Lots of great information on this site that I've been incorporating into my list -- I appreciate the friendly advice!
