Default How DoI Operate the Slide Out?

Sorry I'm lost hear. I just acquired a 1998 31ft classic. It has a slide out but no idea how to work it. I hit the button and motor moves but will not slide out. Almost seems like it has a lock or is binding. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Gadget, I moved your post to a new thread, rather than leaving it as a hijack in a 9-year old thread. Have you looked at the videos in the library? The complete listing is in this thread: https://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f49...-youtube-1233/ and is found in Post #3. Video #6 covers the "Tip Out Room", which may help you.

If that doesn't cover it, another member with your kind of trailer should be along to help soon.

With a 1998 trailer Gadget5 may actually have a slide out, not a tip out. We used to have a club member with a pre 2000 33ft with a slide out.

I double checked. It is a slide out per according to HiLo trailer.com website.

We never had issues with our slide out, which was before the tip out. One secured the 2 clamps over the wood casing to slide out. Once secure it went out and had a set stop. Bringing the slide back in one had to decide where to stop. I believe it was a chain drive system and believe this information is downloaded in the library? We don’t have the HiLo anymore but I may have the information.

I have the ASP slide information and directions! I can email it to you! Unsure how to upload! The slide information is searchable! I do not think the directions are in the library!!
