1977 HI LO Remodel

I am a new member and just purchased a 1977 HI LO. For being 37 years old it's in pretty good shape. I want to totally redo interior as it has some water damage to side walls and around ceiling exhaust fan. If someone has undertaken a complete interior remodel and has pictures I would love to see them. In looking at it, my first question would be how to replace top section wall paneling. Do you have to remove top section completely? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Dave

I'm working on a 1969, it's in the photo album under 1969 bon voyage restoration. Good luck, and have fun with it

Welcome to the forum

Rabbitear welcome to the forum. You have been given some good advice about taking care of any roof leaks first. Maybe resealing any roof vents. Here is a post from 4-3-2010 that explains how to break the HiLo apart for repairs. It is called replacing the roof gasket. My DH and I have done an extensive repair of our 1990 25ft. HiLo Classic. 4-6-2014 is the link for wall repair. 3sam TLPX'S Library Photobucket. Many have done extensive repairs. These trailers are sturdy. Anything that goes wrong with them can be repaired by someone that is handy. All your windows must be taken out and resealed with butyl tape and on the exterior with lexell caulk. This after you do roof and wall repairs. Keep the questions coming.

I am a new member. Thinking about buying a 1970's (seller say's about 40 years old) HiLo. Says it's in great shape with awning. Wants 2100 for it. I think that's a fair price. Going to see it Sunday. Anyone know about buying parts for these old girls? Thanks
