Default Wheel bearing packing / maintenance

Simple question - is there a guideline for how often the bearings should be re-packed? We just had new bearings and seals all around (except one) and I'm wondering when I should have them serviced. Looking at doing a 3000 mi road trip in a few weeks.

Thanks!

Update, I found this thread, suggesting every 6000 miles...

I would also go with the 6000 mile/ 12 month theory. In PA we have to have our trailers inspected every year. I just have the bearings done and the brakes checked and adjusted then. It takes some of the worry out of traveling.

Default Repack wheel bearing

My manual, for a 1982, states that they should be repacked every 6000 miles.

The Dexter Axle service manual with our 2310H says 12 months or 12,000 miles. The trailer manual says 6,000 miles or before any major trip.
