Awning Bracket Stand-offs?
 

Apparently the previous owner of my 2307 Classic had some problems with the awning. Found that the slider on one of the stabilizing arms had been broken and epoxied back together. It failed again, and I have a replacement on order. But in examining the upper awning brackets closely (easy to do with a HiLo with the top lowered), I see that the upper brackets had stand-offs (about 3/8" thick) under the lower legs of the bracket. The standoofs are made of hard rubber material. One of them is missing. I'm not sure whether they were part of the original installation or added later. The awning is a series 8500 A&E that came with the 2307C. Can anyone with a similar model year tell me if the standoffs are supposed to be there?

Our 2310h has the standoffs as did our 1705T. I don't know if those are something that are a part of the awning or something added by Hilo. You could probably fabricate something that would work.

Those rubber pieces are identical to the rubber pieces that are screwed under the top half for it to rest on when down, so I would say they were added by Hi-Lo. I didn't like them and removed them, I then cut 1/8 thick pieces of stainless steel and put a dab of silicon under each piece to hold in place and put under the awning top brackets.I changed to the stainless pieces after finding one of the rubber pieces on the ground.
