ceiling and wall repair

I have some time to do some repairs on the Hi-Lo I recently acquired. It is a 1989 33' model.

There was a leak in the roof that went un-noticed for several years apparently. It has since been fixed... but consequently the ceiling area above the bathroom - in the middle of the trailer is soft and rotten. One area of the wall is soft as well.

Regarding the ceiling, I did a little "demo" and discovered that apparently the original construction is a thin sheet of plywood over a metal frame. Glued to that is a sheet of styrofoam about 1" thick. Then glued to that is a finished sheet of paneling.

Does that sound about right?

What surprises me is that there is no aluminum nor fiberglass. After pulling away some of the foam and rotten wood, I see there in nothing left but a sheet of white rubberized roofing material.

Here's my questions:

To repair this, would one have to cut the rubber material from the top outside and remove all the rotten material?

.... Then from the outside lay thin plywood on the top of the frames and then glue the rubber material back on?

.... Then from the inside glue sheets of styrofoam and paneling back on? Is that the process?
