Default Crack in rock guard

There is a crack in the rock guard of our 2307C. Just to the outside of the right hinge (facing TT). Looks like a natural stress point when the rock guard is up on the support arms. I plan to use fiberglass and epoxy on the "inside" face. But I'm not sure about how to treat the crack on the "outside" (visible face when rock guard is down). The crack is about an inch and a half long and closes up (but still visible) when the rock guard is down. Any suggestions?

I completed the fiberglass and epoxy patch on the inside face. The crack actually opened up a little, guess I couldn't get the rockguard in the right position when I had it high enough to access the inside face. Decided to leave the outside face alone. The crack is visible, but not an eyesore.

Did you stop drill the end of the crack? If you didn't, it may continue to spread.
