Guide off the rail

It appears I have a guide off the rail from my 1988 Funmaker. Any thought on putting it back in its proper place?

It appears that the guide block is broken and needs to be replaced. You can get them from Midget RV.

You will have to wedge out the top from the bottom to make space to get a right angle screwdriver in the space to remove and replace. If you do a search here for glide block replacement you may find the post where someone explained how they did that.

FYI, Guide was not broken. I removed the screws from the rail (top one was a challenge) and replaced it through the guide.

Guide block looks broken in the picture. Do you mean the guide rail was not broken?

No the guide block was not broken. I removed the rail and slid it back in the slots of the guide block. It had somehow gotten out of the guide. I'll be watching it close the next few time I raise and lower it.

I agree with Ruben and Rich, the guide block (the black thing fastened to the inside of the top half of your trailer that fits around the vertical guide track on the bottom half of your trailer) IS broken. It appears to be in two pieces. It should be a single component.

I don't see how it can work in its current condition.

Texas Tam, take these guys' word for it, your guide block IS broken. You are referring to a different part BEHIND the block, which is probably NOT broken. This will only work correctly all the time if you replace the block AND keep all of them lubed fairly good. Be sure to look up inside and see if the piece behind this is messed up.....

My error. After inspecting the other blocks, I agree that is has split in two. I will be ordering a replacement ASAP. Thank you all for the information.
