Unhappy leaking seam

Working all week and trying to find a weekend without rain so I can uncover the trailer to fix a leak, it happened yeasterday (at least it's half done, recovered for the next storm coming today)
I have a 97 towlite which has a box awning. The trim that is mounted to the roof/wall with an c-chanel to hold the awning doesn't run pass the awning box. This is causing water to run behind the awning and because the awning is also screwed tightly to the wall, water is getting trapped and wicking into the wall. I'm installing a new longer piece of c-channel for the awning with a built-in gutter and end caps to take of most of water from the roof (the old trim didn't have this). I'm going to be installing nylon spacers/washers behind the awning at the wall mounting so it doesn't trap water. And along with the brutyl sealing tape and the sikaflex 1a polymer caulking, I'm topping it all off with Eternabond (PVC backed brutyl tape) commerical roof & leak repair tape.
