Default 2206T Fresh Water Capacity

I know capacity questions are asked a lot here. However, I'm confused. The brochure for the 2206T says the fresh water capacity is 30 gallons. However, I've only ever been able to fill it to 23 gallons. I have a save a drop water meter and it's been consistent.

Has it been seen that the fresh water tank could be smaller than advertised? Or am I missing something?

I'd be very surprised if your fresh water tank holds only 23 gallons. My 1707T holds 30 gallons in that tank, plus another 6 gallons in the hot water heater. I wonder if a previous owner replaced your tank with a smaller one, or, if your tank is somehow distorted so that it holds less?

Dunno about the replacement. But will check out the tank when I have a chance to get under the trailer. Anything I should look for that would indicate it's original?

My fresh water tank is original and it's been covered in a white, spray-on coating - possibly to help keep it from freezing. It kinda has the texture of an automotive undercoat. I doubt a replacement would have this done to it.
