Replacing plug for water tank drain
The plug for our water holding tank somehow broke. Nothing like starting your first day of a week of boondocking with your water pouring out.
Where can we find a replacement? We have an ‘88. |
If you're talking about a nylon screw-in plug on the bottom of the tank, a replacement can probably be found at a hardware store or Home Depot/Lowes. Here's another idea, get a drain valve to replace the plug. Our popup campers had plugs and it was a pain unscrewing and screwing them back in. I found a plastic one that threaded into the tank.

My 16' Funlite was missing the plug so I just installed this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My tank has 3/8" NPT threads on the plug and I couldn't find the right valve at Home Depot. Looks like this one will work well, as the extra 1/2" threads make sure that the valve is below the insulation around the tank. |
