12 volt Deep Cycle ??

Just got my 1992 19 ft and they have a cranking battery on it. Should it not be a deep cycle battery ? Or does the Hydr.pump need more amp's ?
thanks
David

You should have a deep cycle battery, you'll get more run time. Look at your amp hours. I had a single 12volt deep cycle battery but it was only rated at 55 amp hours. Running out of power on a weekend camping trip, it was time to upgrade. Since your going to change the battery, go with two 6volt batteries wired in series to get 12volts. This is what I did, I ended up with 235 amp hours. The 6volt batteries are a little taller, so check your space. If you check my past posts, I posted pictures on my rebuilt battery box and wiring. Also, I posted Charging While Towing. After installing the batteries, I installed a 33watt solar panel, under Solar System section. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. 12Volt deep cycle battery

On our 90 Classic the outside storage compartment was to tight of a fit for the battery. Wrecked one battery. Then hubby extended the battery cable and mounted the battery on the tongue. End of problem.
