Adding outlets?

Hi guys I have a 1995 towlite that I am rebuilding. Question about adding plugs. We took off two gfi outlets when we tore out the kitchen cabinets they were clamped with the housing into the wire like a vice can we just cut the wire and wire nut a new outlet into the cable? And can we just cut along the main cable and add a few more outlets? Also the same with the 12 v up top?

Certainly, you can add as many outlets as you would like. But, you'll have to be careful not to have the total Amperage load on any circuit higher than the circuit breaker or fuse rating for that circuit, or the breaker will trip or the fuse will blow. Just use common sense.

Remember that you only have a total of 30 amps to use. Also do not hide any splices. I you have to extend the wire simply cut it where you can add a junction box and run from there. The trailer wiring is very similar to house wiring.

If you are running a lot of electrical stuff it is a good idea to make shore the 30 amp plug is not getting really hot
