Batteries Will Not Charge

My 2004 Tow Lite 22 batteries will not charge when plugged into shore power.
I have an Elixir EXL-45 converter/charger. I have checked all connections and they look clean and tight. All the fuses are good and the circuit breakers check out. What else can I do ? All help is appreciated!!

Mark, mine had two, inline 30A fuses that were hidden behind the visible fuse panel. If either one of them are blown, the converter will not charge the battery, but will seem to work normally otherwise. Have you checked those two fuses?

If those fuses check good too, then I suspect you'll just have to get a new converter. The Elixir converter is no longer manufactured, so you'll need to get a different brand.

Look at the "sticky" in this section to see the brand I want with and my writeup on how to wire it in. I believe the other brand that is recommended is mentioned in that thread too.

Don't count out Battery...Just cause its new/ or almost...theres lots of new/almost new THAT are BAD...Been there done that more than once....Will it charge up on a separate charger and then do its job??? is always a good home test...

cva34.....yes I eliminated that possibility while out on the road by using the campground host's battery charger. BTW....the two 30 amp fuses are in perfect shape. I read Jack's thread and I'am sure that I do not have the talent to pull off a swap !!...LOL Meanwhile I am leaving a trickle charger on the batteries while in storage and will take a fast charge charger with me when we travel.
