Change Solar Panel Wiring

I have one 100 watt solar panel on my trailer. I used the existing wire which is fairly small. I haven't had any problems but if I want to add more panels I am sure I would have to increase the gauge. Has anyone had experience pulling a new wire. I think the wire comes down through a bundle covered with cloth material in the right rear. I am not sure where it goes from there. I have a channel in the front of the trailer under the dinette where there is wires that go from the right side of the trailer to the left side into the compartment that the converter is in. The solar charge controller is in the frig compartment on the left side so I know that the solar wire has to get from the right side of the trailer to the left side.

Thanks

Johnnie

On my trailers the wire crosses at the floor behind the toilet in the back of the trailer and then up thru the cloth covered bundle, but my models are different than yours.

Thanks for the comments. I plan on doing some dry camping this summer and will be using the 100 watt panel on the roof and another 100 watt that is portable. Depending on how this works out, it may be that I won't need any extra power. If I did add more solar to the roof I am sure I would have to upgrade the wire gauge. I am going to install a Trimetric battery monitor this spring and I will be exploring some wire routing. I have a covered channel that goes across the front interior between the two dinette seats. I am going to take the cover off and take an inventory of what wires go through the channel. I might find that the wire from the roof to the solar panel gets from the right side to the left in that channel. If not, I will take a look behind the toilet.
