Charging from tv
After changing cord from trailer to tv. I wanted to check and see if I hooked up the power wire correctly. Restin batteries were showing 13.1 on multimeter and with engine running on truck and plugged into truck they were showing 13.2. That seems low to me for charging while driving. Any thoughts or suggestions ?

That DOES seem low to be a charging voltage, but it looks like the batteries are fully charged (you said 13.1V resting) and in that case, the truck may not be applying ""absorption" or "bulk" charging voltage, but instead is applying "float" voltage, which is usually just a bit above 13.0V.
Were the batteries being charged on shore power before you connected your truck? A battery in the "resting" state after the surface charge has worn off usually reads 12.7V if it's fully charged. - Jack |
Yes. I had them removed and on a battery minder in the garage before reinstalling.

OK, I suspect you'd see higher voltage (14.0+) if the batteries were discharged a bit. I think you've installed your new trailer cord correctly.
