Default Converter problems??

We have a 1984 Hi-Lo camper which we just bought and love it. Tows fairly easy, etc. etc. but a problem came up, when we dont have it plugged into an outlet everything works fine off of the battery but as soon as we plug it into an outlet nothing works, lights, lift, water pump, etc.

Is there a relay somewhere that switches the power to 120 volts to 12 volt somewhere? A wiring diagram would be great if someone has one.

We have recently bought a 1977 Hi-Lo and had the same problem. We found our converter box [switches 110V to 12V] under a front bench seat by the table. Ours has five 15amp fuses in it & we found that they had all blown. We replaced them [also had to do some wiring repairs] but now everything works great when plugged in. Hope this helps. I do have a wiring diagram of mine I can post if that would help [not with me now - it's out in the trailer but would be happy to go out & get it if needed].
