Solenoid

What type of solenoid is needed. To replace the one on the pump for raising and lowering??

Desperate.

Never mind. panic is over the ssolenoid came in and my mechanic installed it and cleaned up my crimps and splicing. working fine. It doe say right in the manual if when you jump across the solenoid and the motor runs then it is a ba dsolnoid! after all that!! for those of you who have been following! thanks for the patience.

Glad you got it working in spite of all my "help", Rick! I don't remember that statement in the manual at all, but it's been a long time since i looked through it - and I haven't studied that section since the trailer was new.

IT was in the troubleshooting section. I hadn't caught it before either but I can't say I really looked last summer when I was going through all that. Looking back over those posts you always said your were guessing solenoid. I guess the internal connections were going and a strong connection must have provided enough juice to overcome the shortcomings but not lose connection. Well, on to the next issue. I will say, Im getting to where I am desiring a rv without the added potential complications associated with raising and lowering it. Not much out there right now.

I can certainly understand wanting a trailer without the "raise/lower" headaches. But then, I think about the huge frontal area and the towing wind resistance of a standard trailer and decide I can put up with my HiLo for a while longer (especially since I haven't really had any raise/lowering problems).

Everything's a compromise.
