Default Stereo install

Was wondering if I were to install a stereo in our new (to us) Tow lite, would I install an automotive (12v) system, or a component AC system. Also, if it is required that a 12v system be used, where would I connect it to?

I would install an automobile 12v stereo system, run the 12v power lead to the 12v fuse box (located under the couch or in the wardrobe). Then it will work off the battery or 110volt (after the convertor). Running the wiring may be a little bit of work.

You should get a message to DaveL on the forum. He just installed an RV entertainment system in his 2409T. He found it on Ebay I believe, it is an AM/FM/CD/DVD combination. If you know where the factory mounting position is in your unit you may well find some wiring already there as he did.

I would install a 12 volt automotive stereo as they should be built a little sturdier so they can withstand the vibrations of travel.
