Tire blowout ripped out wiring

I have a 1999 FL21 and love it. Thought the design was nearly flawless until... the front tire on the door side blew out at highway speed and the spinning shreds tore out about 8 feet of each of the several wires to the main switch and lift switch. These critical wires were exposed in the wheel well, completely unprotected... very bad design. We arrived at the Texas coast, 4 hours from home, with 3 grandchildren only to discover we could not raise the trailer or use any of the 12 volt system components.

Does anyone know of a place in Central Texas... Austin area... that works on HiLos and can make these extensive electrical repairs? My camper is dead in the water until this can be done.

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your problem, you may already know this but RV trailer tires have a max speed rating of 65 miles per hour and they must be kept inflated to the max pressure specified on the tire. Any auto shop can jump the solenoid on top of the hydraulic pump and get the top up. Also there may be a tripped circuit breaker in the battery box and blown fuses in side the trailer. The wiring as you know will have to be fixed but they may be able to get you going with a temporary fix.
