Default beeping lp detector

HI--I have a 2008 hilo 1508 and the "protector' LP gas detector is beeping.
the panel shows a yellow light in the "fault" location. I smell no gas, in fact the tanks are turned off at the front of the trailer and the battery reads at 13.2.

I push the reset button and it stops but after several hours it starts to beep again.

any ideas on what is causing this and how to stop it?

thanks,
dennis

Dennis, I haven't had this problem, but, if a propane detector is anything like a smoke detector, the sensor inside can wear out and the detector has to be replaced. From your description, it sounds to me like this has happened to yours.

I doubt they are enormously expensive.

Mine went bad and I replaced it. They do have a experation date on them. Mine is located in the bottom of the bathroom sink cabinet. Make sure you do not have a arosol can leaking or some other container leaking some chemical that is setting it off in the cabinet above it.
