a/c unit not working

Several weeks ago the roof mounted a/c heater unit ran fine...went out today and nothing. No fan, no heat, no ac. I have no idea what the problem is. I have power to the c/b and the breakers are on. I have power on the line at c/b to the ac unit.

I pulled the inside cover and tested the power at the rotary switch where the romex came in and nothing. Although, this might be a lead from another connection where the power comes into the unit. I am not sure.

I suppose you need to trouble shoot these on the top of the unit? What are the steps?

Has the plug to the AC worked loose? I hope it has, that's an easy fix. :D

you nailed it...man....and I wasted several hours on this, but glad it was not an expensive fix!

Glad that was all it was. Happy camping.

AC

I just purchased an 2007 towlite 19T but the air conditioning will not work. Where can I start to find out if it needs to be replaced?

Like the above post says, start at the A/C breaker, ensure power to the breaker AND out of the breaker. Turn breaker Off and check output-should be none- breaker on should be power. If that's ok, go to the A/C outlet and again check for power. Got it there? Then go to the A/C's power box. If there's power there, then you have a A/C problem, but it could be simply a capacitor loose wire, etc. Friend in the A/C buiss? Call him. Check breaker, check power cable outlet, ensure it's plugged in tight. Welcome aboard, by the way ! !

Have you located the electric cord to the top that supplies the juice. It is usually a 10 gague tan cord that plugs in in the bathroom

Is the a/c cord plugged in to the a/c gfi outlet? If so, does the gfi outlet need to be reset?

Welcome to the forum. If you are plugged into household current, you probably won't have enough umph to run the AC.
