Default hot water heater temp adjusment

Hello, 2004 22 footer here. I can't seem to find an adjustment to the hot water heater temp. Do I need to buy a different heating element? Thanks in advance! -Mike

It should be on your regulator on the water heater itself.

If you have the Atwood WH with electric ignition you can replace the thermostat with a variable one. I've had no experience with them so I can't tell you how well they work.

I have seen a cooler fixed temperature thermostat but I can't locate it now.

Rv Atwood and surburban waterheaters have fixed thermostat
When I had an Atwood w/h I installed an adjustable thermostat and turned it up to the highest setting but to prevent getting burned I installed a automatic thermostatic mixing valve on the back of the water heater that mixes in cold water to get 9 gallons of hot water out of a 6 gallon water heater
If the temperature out of the water heater is to hot add the thermostatic mixing valve which it has an adjustment to control temperature
Now I have a surburban water heater because my Atwood died
It had 130 fixed thermostat I replaced with a 160 degree fixed thermostat and still using the thermostatic mixing valve
High limit thermostat is fixed at 170 degrees and the t&p valve is fixed at 210 degrees which I kept for safety

These fixed water heater thermostats are snap disc thermostats on both makes of water heaters

Also when I had the Atwood water heater which had an aluminum tank and the snap disc is a different metal I had corrosion between the two and was not doing the correct temperature
I cleaned it up and added heat transferring paste from grainger.com which is differcuilt to find anywhere else
