Default My fridge fan upgrades

I upgraded the factory fan that sounded like a B-29 on takeoff with these computer fans from amazon. Completely silent inside the camper now, can't hear them at all. I made the mount from 1x2x.125" aluminum angle and I put .125" sorbothane between the fans and the mount and between the mount and the camper frame to help with noise and vibration control.

While I was at it, I installed a couple of little 60mm fans inside the fridge. Made the mount from the same aluminum angle that I slotted to make tabs the I bent so it's a grippy slip fit over the fridge fins. No clamps necessary. Ran the wires out with the drain line and installed a fuse and switch. These I can hear but just barely. They're actually louder than the 120mm fans in the back, go figger. Maybe at least partially due to the rigid mounting. All and all I'm very happy with these mods.

Default Thanks for taking the time to post your Refrigerator fan mods.

I have saved your posts. When my original ref. on our 1996 dies I will refer back to this. DH is a retired sheet metal fabricator. Thanks for a wonderful post.

VERY pretty work, pj! I may have to revisit the interior fan and do something like you did too!

Also in the garage, some stuff to pull it:

1993 Roadmaster wagon (well, it probably won't pull it)

Pictures are gone. Did anyone save them? I'm thinking of changing the fan on mine as well. Perhaps there are some other threads explaining the process?

Sorry, I cleaned out my image site after I sold the trailer. I still have the pictures though and I'll just attach them this time.
