RV Stove Question of the day....

Does anyone make an all electric unit? I am not the propane queen here. I prefer electric smooth top with built in microwave. I have an 87 FunChaser that I am upgrading. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!!!

You will probably have to buy separate cook top and a separate microwave ... here is a site for the cook top Electric Cook Top by Contoure Intl.

If you do upgrade to an electric stove with microwave you are going to find yourself short on power. With the 30 amp system you will be limited to what you can run at the same time. On our Hi-Lo we pop the main circuit breaker if we have the AC, fridg, and microwave on and try to turn on a coffee maker. The reason they put in appliances that also run on gas is not just for the boondockers but because the rv is wired for only 30 amp service. Having appliances that run on gas allows you to manage the limited AC power.

Stove question

One benefit of cooking with the stove/oven that runs on propane is that it can sometimes be enough to take the morning chill out while fixing breakfast. Always have your rooftop vent open while using the propane stove. Some thing to consider, use a toaster oven, crockpot, microwave dutch oven or campfire, charcoal grill, bread maker, waffle iron or any other electric cooking gadget that you can think of. Hope this helps. sam

Elecrtrick cooktops

Checked out the website. Pricy as I suspected$ 346.00 didn't even checkout shipping or taxes for the two burner model. Maybe you could use an electric fry pan. If you are really good maybe santa would bring you one for christmas. Maybe you could find a cheaper or used one on the internet. sam
