Default Water Heater Propane Smell

I have a 2005 TowLiie 27T trailer I bought about a year ago. Last year when using the water heater with propane I had no issues. Now when the water heater is running I am getting a fairly strong propane smell inside the trailer. The water heater is an Atwood water heater and is located on the drivers side at the rear of the trailer. The main bedroom is also at the back of the trailer and that is where the smell is the strongest. I have looked for leaks using a soupy water solution, no luck. I have also replaced the gas valve on the water heater but this did not fix the problem either. The only time I can smell the propane is when the water heater is running to heat the water. I have also used a gas detector to try and find a leak but the smell is strong enough to set it off when I get close to the water heater inside the trailer. I am wondering if this could maintenance or cleaning could resolve this or if maybe the water heater itself is leaking and needs to be replaced. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Hot Water Heater Propane smell.

Consulted with DH. You are going to have to pull the Hot Water Heater out. It could be a messed up burner. Something could be rusted up. DH had to replace out Tank on our 1990. It was rusting out. It took him several tries to get the propane lines with out leaks. Persistence paid off.
