Default Camping at Darien Lake state park in NY.

Six beautiful days in our HiLo. I ended up getting sick the night before we left. Thankgoodness for Tylenol fever reducer. My course of antibiotics took care of the problem. We ended up getting a site next to our HiLo friends. They are in their 80's with a fair amt. of health challenges. This could be their last year camping. Stopped to fill the water tank before settling in on our site. Another camper came over to get information on the HiLo. He camps with his adult children so the HiLo won't work for him. "You know their is a trailer just like yours in another site." Yes, they are our friends. I never get tired when others admire the HiLo. Our HiLo was steller in performance. Just a few minor repairs.I did a spaghetti and egg plant parm dinner for our friends. Another camper was trying to back his 5th wheel into a campsite. His slider wasn't locked down and the front of the fifth wheel shattered the glass in his back truck window. His response was"I need a few beers to get over this." Next incident was another camper backing into the vacant site next to us. I was at my campfire and I could see he was going to hit the corner of the picnic table. No spotter. I yelled and he stopped. The trailer wasn't new and it looked like it had done some battle and lost. He got out and moved the picnic table. He didn't care about the crunch. They had no awning and the awning leg was just swinging. They brout outside a portable ref. as the one inside was dead. Next came out a very old heavy TV with a working dvd player. Turns out it was grandparents from Watertown,NY with a 5yr. old,3yr old and a three week old newborn infant. He forgot to get gas along the way and got stranded along the road for one hr. His battery also went dead because he had the flashers on for one hr. I offered to watch(chase ) the 3yr. old around while grandma made up the beds. People with bad backs shouldn't think they can keep up speed with young ones!! The BRS. were open at the campground. They only got cleaned once a day. Most people didn't wear masks. I would forget the mask until i was way up at the BR.

Default Masks at campground

We’ve spent 3 weeks since June 2nd at Raystown Lake Seven Points, Hesston, Pa. only saw masks worn at Check in office. Sites are large an it’s easy to keep distance from others. I always travel to bath/wash house with a spray bottle of Clorox solution and spray generously.
Interesting times we are experiencing, looking forward to normal again someday

Default Camping at Darien Lake state park.NY

We had the option to pre register. We couldn't as we changed some details from nine months earlier. They had an outside window open for check in. The park workers had masks on. Can't wait until we camp again next month.

Default Camping at Darien Lake St. Park.

I think you would like the park. The sites in the A loop are spacious and shady. Most sites have shade. It is a very quiet park. The Theme park is closed at this time. They have a beautiful lake to swim in. Also a sandy beach. Plenty of hiking trails ect. We went for six days and just relaxed with a couple of good books. Our friends were also camped in the site next to us. We had some joint meals and campfires together.
