Default Door County, WI Holiday Trip

Anybody thinking about heading to Door County, WI I highly recommend it! Beautiful Part of the state, and great views of Lake Michigan! For anyone not familiar with Wisconsin, Door County is the "thumb" of the state. This was our first time and will be going annually from now on. If you are a wine-o like we are, Door County is surely the place for you! I recommend Door Peninsula Winery as it was our favorite one with a massive selection of wines and very fairly priced ranging from $11 to the most expensive at $42. We also learned a couple things about our Hi Lo. #1, 6 hours on the road with the fridge running is too long, battery was dead when we arrived at the campground. No problem. Well we had let it charge for about 2 hours while we went to grab a bite to eat, came back, had a few beers, cranked on the air and went to bed...This is what lead to #2. About 2:15 am an alarm went off...no clue what it was or where it was coming from...first thought gas...nope flashing green, good. Went outside and flipped the breaker to see if that would kill the alarm at least, naturally it did. Being new this year to having any sort of camper, I was not aware of the low voltage alarm lol. Did some quick research at 3 am and figured out that's what it was. Turned the air off and and turned on the vent fan instead and went back to bed. It went off a couple more times so i turned the fan off and made sure everything was off...still the alarm sounds...4 am now and frustrated. Not only was I still awake but also my wife, her sister and brother in law were with us also. Then it dawned on me...idiot, when i flipped the breaker the fridge auto swapped the power supply...switch it back go to sleep and boom, no more alarm! Learning experience i suppose lol!

Default Welcome to the forum.

Glad you figured out your problem. I live in Niagara Falls, NY and we have many great wineries in Western NY. We have had our HiLo many years and once in a while problems crop up that we haven't had to deal with before. DD has internet on her phone so we can look up most things. Enjoy many happy HiLo adventures. Why is it never funny when events happen. Down the road it makes for a funny story in the retelling.
