first trip in our 1993 Towlite

Just a test run, one night, my son-in-law and I. We went about 1.5 hours from home to a lake called Rainy Lake.

Had the place pretty much to ourselves a couple day use fishermen came up for a few hours. Then we hiked a short way (1/2 mile in) to this lake called Clearwater Lake. (Wierd right?)

Then went back to Rainy and caught a couple nice Cutthroat trout about 16" each. One for the fire and one let go.

Here is Rainy. Didn't rain, was almost 60, will probably get down to 34 tonight, hope the heater works well!

Nice, but where is this "Rainy Lake" you speak of. :)

Beautiful spot! Looks like a great test run, and a very nice fish.

picture is worth a thousand words and those pictures do a great job of explaining "why we camp". great looking place. I had relatives living in Fish Tail for awhile and it was one of the most beautiful spots I had ever visited. Thanks for inspiring me togo back.

Heater worked awesome. I woke up at one point and checked the digital thermometer and it was 72 inside with the heater coming on a couple of times an hour so I turned it down some and it was 63 inside at 7am. I do think I'll buy a better wall thermostat to get a more accurate/consistent temp.

Buy a non-programmable digital thermostat. The factory installed ones are junk. In the meantime, adjust the heat anticipater, which is a little metal lever inside the cover. Move it to about half scale. That should cut down on the wide heat swing. You can experiment with settings to see what works best.
