Default Spruce Lake Campground, Estes Park CO

Spent the weekend at Spruce Lake RV park in Estes Park, Colorado. It was very relaxing, as long as you don't mind black bears wandering through occasionally. There was also an elk herd that seemed at home around the lake. The restrooms and showers were very clean. There were gorgeous views of the mountains, it was hard to leave. We also met another couple from Missouri who are on their second Hi-Lo. We highly recommend this park and plan on going back next year.

/Ken

Didn't get pics of the bears, but here are a few from the campground. Most of our photos were taken up in RMNP.

There's a reason why Estes Park is also known as "Elktown, USA". These pictures show you just a wee bit of that reason.

Recognize the elk, but what's the grey thing on the striped blanket?

Not sure how that picture got downloaded. That is the King of the Kamper. He's about as wild as our wild life gets.
