just a quick shot of my Hi Lo in the trees of Navy Site Allatoona Lake, Ga.
Except for the noise from I-75, this place is great. Fishing isn't so good for me. This place has anything you need. But the gate closes at 5pm, of course a combo is available. If you hold a military ID, the check this out. $16 a day - power and water.

My daughter and family does a lot at Sweetwater. I'm kinda partial to Clark Creek North and McKaskey Creek. I'll add to the list, here at Navy Lake Site when I'm in Ga. The "fish dance" worked for the rest of my stay. Among them a 7lb catfish (not a fish tale!-catch and release). Then on to two more state parks in Ga. and Fl.
As these pics show, I was not without some "oops". I never considered this:eek:
I normally do a walk thru before attaching power and water and as I seldom use the shower, I just blew by that, first mistake, when the knob sheared off, it must have rotated the knob first, turning the water to the on position. Second mistake was after water hook-up, I didn't think to use the shower lever to turn the water off. Instead, I went for a sharp blade to turn the water off at the knob.:rolleyes:Then, I thought of the lever on the shower handle. No harm done (replace the assembly--$20 amazon)
But, over-all, it was a successful solo va-ca and it did wonders for my brain.
I welcome the new members who joined in my absence, and when in SW FL. give a shout!

Interesting.....I've never had any problems with the bathroom wires like you experienced, but with that said I will have to keep an eye on them.

Mine are fortunately well away from anything they could catch on.

Guess I should've mentioned that my 27'er has a center bath for clarity. As shown by the pics, the wire bundle was looping, a bit too close, road jostling did the trick for sure. Also, I think a PO changed the cables because the wires have been sniped and butt jointed back together. With my DSO operating the switch, I watched the action before and after the fix and everything stays well clear now. Not many of us watch what's going on inside when the top is in motion, very interesting.

All the more reason to pay closer attention to mine, as I have the same set up, and I had looked at the wiring last year and I have wires that have been joined with wire nuts.:(

Garry, Hummm, wire nuts. Butt joints are a bit better, but soldering and heat shrink are best.
Also found that in most cases, we lube our cables when the top is up. Now, with the top rail off, and the top 1/2 down, I can actually see more bare cable and lube that. Lower the top, and get the rest.

Yep on butt joints, but as far as I could tell, the wires were for a non working solar panel so I left them as is.
