1960's Bunk and Galley Designs

I'm refurbishing a 1965 13' (10 foot box) Hi-Lo. The exterior and lift mechanism are in good shape but the interior furnishings were removed (aside from the benches and folding table). I need a photograph of a galley from a trailer of that vintage (it appears that it was on the front left side and corner) and the bunks that some were equipped with. I hope to manufacture the missing items as close to the originals. Any photographs are welcome and encouraged. They'll provide inspiration!

Hi Don,

I am unsure if this is the galley design you are searching for. I have just purchased a 1968 and it does have the swing away bunk and on the side the door is on there is a bench set that sits along the wall before the wardrobe vanity closet.

Take Care,

Lisa~

Lisa, welcome to the forum. I hope you don't take this wrong, but in your pictures, you show propane lanterns hanging inside the trailer. Those things are for exterior use only and are really dangerous to use inside.

If you're trying to save on battery power, convert your lighting to LEDs (which I did), or, use battery operated lanterns as a supplement.

I'm sorry if I sound like a worried mother, but just can't help myself.

Re: Lanterns

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the welcome. Yes I know, they were the PO's and all his belongings were removed when I went to tow it home last night. Kinda would have liked him to leave them so I could hang them outside  But I reckon for $250.00 which was the cost of the camper... I got a perfect deal without them :D

Thanks again and have a great day!

Lisa~

Wow! $250? I think you got more than a perfect deal! Have fun with your new possession!

This is a great forum if you have questions, and most new owners do. Just ask, and someone will provide the answers you need.
