ceiling covering peeling off

considering purchase of a 2000 classic 220L HI LO.

on the ceiling, the white covering is crumpled/bubbled or peeling off all together (especially in the bath). Also crumpled near the ceiling rails. It almost looks and feels like "contact paper" (the sticky stuff).

is this a sign of water leakage? dealer says it's a result of the heat; the unit was covered in storage.

KS,

You should tell us where in the county its been parked, and what was used for the cover.

Sight unseen, and considering that most interior, in my experience, de-laminating is caused by moisture getting behind the "contact paper," surface, I'd say the chance is very good your seeing water damage, not heat damage. In any event, its an indicator that something is going on in the ceiling... either roof leakage or use of a contact storage covering that doesn't "breath," thereby trapping humidity in the trailer.

This may be a rig that you want to pass by... not cool to start off with ceiling damage with an an unknown cause.

Hop this helps,
Jim

That one should have a metal frame and should be structurally sound. If the price is right and you are capable of repairing, but it could be a big job. If not I would say pass it up.
If its your first Hi-Lo better to start with a good one.
Any brand can have water damage not just Hi-Lo's

thanks for the responses. We are in Fort Collins, CO....not sure where the unit was stored.

not many hi lo's in this area for resale, hoping this one would be a good one but think we will keep looking...
