Help Raising Bunk

Good afternoon, I have a 1980 funchaser, I got the bunk down with ease, I am having great difficulty trying to put it back up, anyone have this problem, I need some assistance, thank you Luke

Hi Luke - I deleted the other post because it really didn't belong in an Owner's Manual thread and it helps all of us to not have multiple posts/threads on the same subject.

With the bunk hanging down, and not supported by the legs anymore, push it back and up against the forward wall until the back part is above the "hinges" and against the wall. The back edge will move away from the wall as it is lifted past the hinges and then it will move back to the wall again. Then, you can simply lift the front edge to engage the two "pins" in the latches.

The bunk is quite heavy and it may help to have two people participate in this process.

Hi Luke,

Stowing the bunk can be a challenge if the "secret" isn't known. See the following youtube video. Assuming your bunk is the same design this procedure should take the strain out of the bunk.

Good Luck.

Nice post, 97towlite - I should have remembered there was a video on it, but, my brain cells are just too faded.
