Removing window blinds/ valance assembly

Hi all,

I'm trying to remove one of the blind/ valance assemblies on my 2407T. I removed the two visible screws that hold the blind cord. I was thinking I could just push up on the valance to remove it but it's on there pretty solid so didn't want to force it and break something. Any tips?

Thanks,

There should be a screw on each end of the front panel underneath the material of the valance.

Thanks, Bob. Was finally able to get the valance off today. The solid patterned material which is covering the valance (see photo) was covering three screws. I had to remove the numerous staples that were holding the material to the valance to uncover the screws. Once the valance is removed, there is easy access to the blinds.
BTW, there is no need to remove the screws holding the blind cord to remove just the valance. Only if you wish to remove the blind itself would you need to remove the blind cord screws.

I have been trying to figure out how to get the valances off. I am going to cover our jack knife couch in leather, and would like to do the valances in coordinating leather, too. So easy to take care of, too.

Hi Cheri,

Look for the screws that attach the valance under the decorative material. I removed all that material permanently as we really didn't like it, so now I can get the valances off easily if need be. The exposed screw heads were shiny so I used a black Sharpie to "dull" them. Crude, but effective!
