Why A Part Of The Cupboard Blocked?

We have had our 2310 about a week. I noticed that the cupboard over the sink has an end section blocked off and can't figure out what might be in there that made it necessary to block the space which would be nice to have. Does anyone know why it is blocked off or what is in there? I am planning to take the inside partition off and look if no one has an answer.

Ours has a raised floor in the portion that is over the sink so that it clears the sink faucet when the top is lowered. But, there is still some space above that raised portion. The raised section is a molded plastic insert.

Brookside, my husband and I have a 25-foot 2009 Hi-Lo Classic with, I think, a similar floor plan as your Hi-Lo. In the overhead cabinets, just bearly to the left of the sink are the internals for the CD and DVD player and radio and, I believe, the amplifier and booster for use when our antenna is up when we use our HD television. When we bought our Hi-Lo new from the factory in 2009, we were told all of the above was the "entertainment center," which also included the HD television and installed swing bar the television hung from. You may or may not have the entertainment center, but the space and proper wiring may be there behind the partition.

As mentioned, the overhead space to the left of the sink was reserved for the CD/stereo radio. If you look in there you will find power feed wiring and I believe wiring for speakers.

Ours doesn't have a stereo system, and I wondered if it might be where the option went. We're going to open it tomorrow and take a look. I could sure use the extra storage. Thanks, I'll let you know.

Yep, we opened it up and now have more storage space with "wires" from a stereo not chosen as an option.

It is my understanding that the radios put in the HiLo were a very cheap brand and not very functional.

I'm sure you're right on that.

They're certainly not audiophile quality, but they ARE "functional" - mine works. We don't use the thing that much when camping though, since we prefer the quiet.

We don't use the radio but do hook up an iPod and the results are quite good.

I have used mine with an iPod in the past and it does work but I was thinking about upgrading it to a modern one with a built in DVD player

This is what is in my 2305

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but does anyone know where the speaker pre-wiring usually runs? Are there two speakers or four? I’d like to use the wiring to install a radio with Bluetooth.

If I remember correctly, some models have speakers in the corners of the front wall?

Model dependent.

DH said our speakers are on the inside cap corners. The front cap. DH replaced our radio as one channel went out. He got the radio at Walmart. Our Model is a 26ft. 1996 Classic.

My speaker wiring is in the top front. I believe it is behind a flip-up door. Should be a yellow and white wire, if I remember correctly.

On my 2307C the wires (all wires except the 110v A/C wire) run full length from the left front, near the cap, all the way to the left rear of the camper. about 4” from the left side wall in the ceiling and then depart the bundle of wires where needed. Like splitting off for lights, fans, etc.

On my camper the yellow and white wires are the 12v wires for lights and fan. The speaker wires (which look like home stereo speaker wires) joins the bundle at the radio sight and runs to the front with the rest of the wires then breaks off to go the the speakers.

If you want a picture of it, I haven’t replaced the ceiling or the roof yet and it is easy to see how I am explaining it.

I added the pictures, The hanging down wire is what was stuffed into the cabinet just left of the sink faucet cut-out where the radio is located.
