Store it up, or down?

We’re relocating from the PacNW to AZ and our camper is staying here.

What say ye, store it up or down?

Will be tarped.

Thanks!

Store it in the down position. DO NOT TARP IT! Use a cover that can breathe. A regular tarp will cause moisture to be retained under the tarp. This will show up as mold and other not so nice things causing damage to the roof and interior.

I would recommend an ADCO Tyvek cover. Best all weather cover on the market from what I could find. It's made with Tyvek and Dupont materials and comes in 2 lengths specifically for the Hi Lo. RVcovers.com is where I bought mine and saved $80 of MSRP. I couldn't be more happy with mine! Very high quality and comes with a storage bag and weights to clip on and toss underneath to the other side so you don't struggle with getting the straps to the other side.

Our HiLo has been stored under car port for 5 yrs in the up position with all windows cracked open. I cut 1x3 to fit tight under each corner then let top down a little. That way, box is sealed up(less chance for mice etc) and cables unstessed. Our interior has stayed fresh and clean and ready for spring prep quickly.
