I did a search on this topic and came up short. I want to mod my 1969 hi lo 189r traveler to stay open permanently. The past owner used it like this for years. They propped it with 4x4 posts. I'd like to fix it up but not repair up and down feature. I'd like to mod it with something more low profile and less noticeable. Any ideas, please respond. Thank you.

You must never travel with it in the up position. It will damage the frame. I'm sure someone has made it stationary. Somewhere buried in a back post.
