Bunk bed capacity

Hello. I have a 2008 HiLo Towlite 15T trailer. It has a bunkbed that swings down for additional sleeper(s). Does anyone know the weight capacity of this device? Thanks, Jerry

It's been posted here, that the capacity is 300#. I weigh about 200, and would not feel particularly good about getting up there on ours. It was fine for our two Grandkids when they were younger.

Thanks, Jack! Does anyone else have any info to share about this?

I have used my bunk bed a couple of times as have a couple of other adults. Only one adult at a time each weighing from 140# to 200 #. I would not recommend two adults at the same time. A step ladder is helpful since the single board that extends the bed past the table is too weak to stand on. I had mine reinforced with a piece of steel covering most of the underside of the board. I still would not use it as a step up.

When down for the bed the table is slightly narrow which I learned during the night while camping in Montana. I have since screwed a piece of wood the length of the seats on each side so now my bed will not drop down on either side. Lessons learned while camping.

I anticipate selling my 1509 Hi Lo this fall after visiting my son in Montana. My right shoulder has become significantly worse with my doctor recommending more surgeries. I don't think I could manipulate the bunk bed any more. I already have limitations with my right shoulder but hope to delay surgery as long as possible.

A different but relevant topic recommended by Jack. Today I purchased 30/20 amp and 15/20 amp circuit breakers from Mr. Breaker in Denver as backups since I have previously replaced my 30/20 amp breaker. This was much easier than attempting to locate one after it has gone bad and either the air conditioner or other electrical outlets/appliances are not working. You Tube has an excellent video for replacing one in your/my home which I have done and is the same process.

goyer; you did not mention whether you were asking about human weight or if you were thinking of removing the mattress and storing 'things' there. I believe I saw where someone removed the bed and made shelves for storage. Please clarify.

I have had guests at 230 lbs up there and slept under them with no issues on my 1994 FunLite. I've never used a ladder, but I do have the double bed underneath, so stepping up from the couch corner to the lower half rim seems to work fine.
