and Fun Run to Poverty Point

Thursday-----------------Poverty Point Fun Run (see below)

Friday night -------------Pot Luck (campers bring plates, utensils, drinks).

Saturday night ---------Hamburgers and stuff (campers bring plates, utensils, drinks)

Sunday morning--------Pancake breakfast (campers bring syrup, plates, utensils, drinks).

Camping Fees ---------$40 for Friday & Saturday (for additional nights, call campground at 318 251-5156)


Reservation and fees are to be sent to the Treasurer, with a Check made payable to Gulf Coast HiLo Club, at 27440 James King Road, Hammond LA 70403 by March 25, 2010.

Be prepared to discuss and select campout location for the October 2010 . During the past two years we have discussed or mentioned (# of times) these campgrounds: Luxury RV, Gulf Shores AL (5); River Country, Gadsden, AL (1); Parker’s Landing, Biloxi, MS (4); Poche’s Fishing & RV Campground, Beau Bridge, LA (4); Riverview, Vidalia, LA (4); Hollywood Campground and Casino, Bay St. Louis, MS (1); Casino, Marksville, LA (3); [no name], Hiawasi GA (1); and, Colfax (1), near Natchitoches, LA. If you have other ideas, please bring information to the business meeting.

From our Gamester ---

On Saturday night after dinner, there will be Animal Races at HiLo Downs. Entry fee is one prize per trailer (like a Bingo prize). Bring your lucky trinket or wear your lucky shirt and be ready to cheer your animal on at the races! Good luck!

Fun Run to Poverty Point --

Thursday, April 22, there will be a Fun Run to nearby Poverty Point Earthworks. There is a historic site museum and a tram is available for a tour of the Ancient Mounds Trail along with a self-guided walking tour.
