Default Hi-lo Rally question

Does it seem strange to anyone else , that we had a Rally devoted just to our Hi-Lo trailers , and no one posted one word about the event 2 weeks ago. I put this post on the forum and 90 people have looked at it with no replies . I know some people like to look but not post , but surely someone would like to say something about the rally , good or bad , lets hear it.

Default HiLo rally

If I traveled that far I would still be out camping some where in the USA. Especially anyone that is retired.

Well Tom, to answer your questions, not everybody goes straight home after the rally. We got home last Friday. Spent some extra time in Michigan's UP and a week in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The Wisconsin club did a fantastic job hosting the 2015 rally. The food and entertainment was great! Monday was check in time and socializing. Tuesday we did a trolley tour. We visited light houses, state parks, local wineries, and area shops. We went up one side of the peninsula and back down on the other side. The scenery was beautiful. Wednesday we toured Lambeau Field in Green Bay. We were in the bowels of the stadium, sat in a luxury suite, went down to the field thru the tunnel the players use. There is a lot of pride and history at Lambeau. My wife hates football but thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We ate at a local restaurant after the tour. Later that evening, about 45 people went on a fire boat cruise. Thursday, several events were planned. People went golfing, fishing, shopping, and to a casino. Thursday evening a fish boil was held. It was spectacular. You have to experience one so that you can scratch it off your bucket list. Friday was farewell day, and alot of socializing going on. This was our 15th rally to attend. I've made some life long friends. Some I see only at the annual rally and others stay in touch thru the year. I consider this like a family reunion, not a rally. My hat is off to the Wisconsin group for a great rally! They did themselves proud! Keep next June open as the 2016 Rally will be in the Houston, TX area.

That's about an 11-12 hour drive for me without pulling the trailer....in the same state! I hope to make it.

Ruben,

Hope to see you there in 2016. The last time Texas hosted the HiLo National Rally was in 2000. It was held in Boerne, Texas, north of San Antonio. A great time was had by all. In my opinion, this rally set the tone for the future rallies.

Default Thanks for the Rally report

I hope to make the one in Texas. It would be probably a three day drive for us. DH has said no. I have a year to work on him. Our truck is a 1997. We'll see.

Talking

Is there a local club in Texas that will be sponsoring the rally in 2016?

Do you have to say "ya'll" if attending?

Bob,

Hope to be there. Funny thing is the one in Colorado was actually closer to me than the one coming up in Houston!

It's what you get for living in a State that takes more than a day to drive across! I've had to make that "southern", El Paso - Beaumont run a few times, and, I can't stand it!

Same with me! Used to run from Jacksonville to Yuma 2X a year. Welcome to Alabama, welcome to Miss, welcome to La, welcome to Texas then nothing forever. That was when the speed limits were MUCH higher. But Texas belongs to the US, it's ours, and we love it too!

Hi Tom,
If you are in AZ, check with your fellow club members who attended the 2015 WI rally. I am setting up the Hi-Lo newsletter but couldn't login to the Forum quickly enough. Door County in WI in June was filled with rain, cool temps, campfires, Lambeau Field, wine, beer and comedy. You missed a good one! Hope to see everyone in Texas in 2016.
