Thanks for adding the manual. I'm sure it will be appreciated by many forum members if their HiLo trailers are close to 1981 models.

Welcome to the Forum!

Maybe you need to update your Adobe Acrobat Reader application. I just tried the download and it worked fine for me.

Default Can't get the top to lower...need help!

Hello all, I have a problem with my 1981 Hi Lo...I can't get the top to lower! I installed two new batteries...not the problem. The lift motor runs when the toggle switch is flipped up but no squealing....just continues to run. I pulled on the safety release but there is no slack in it and will not activate. I did notice hydraulic fluid has leaked under the trailer....is this the problem? Do I need the hydraulic to be filled before I can lower? Help anyone!

It lowers by gravity. Try hitting the up switch to get it off the safety bar then try lowering it. Leaks are never good. Your reservoir should be full, about 1/2"-1" from the top with the trailer in the lowered position. You can make a dipstick with a straw or something that you can reach into the reservoir with the top lowered.

When I click on the link I get a reply saying I don' have permission to access the manual? I am looking to buy a 1983 16s funlite tomorrow and would love to review how to inspect and maintain it before then if possible.

Hello, Zac and welcome! I think maybe you tried to access the "link" BEFORE you joined the forum? If so, it should be accessible now. If not, let me know which link you are trying to access and I'll see if I can fix what's wrong.

Hey there Zac!
Did you end up buying the '83 Funlite?

I just bought an '85 Funlite - if you found any manuals or electrical diagrams, I'd love to peruse them also. My electrical woes are no cabin lights and no plug in for the trailer. I found an inverter, yet no place to plug in from the outside. I also found 3 heavy gauge wires - stripped with nowhere to go - under the seat on the entrance door side nearest the front of trailer. Something... is missing. I don't know what...
