Default Looking for seals for 2001 1901 hi lo

Hi Guys,
We recently purchased a 1901 Hilo 2001 year. It has a been hauled many miles and the seals are shot. Does anyone know where we can get replacements and how to install them?

Welcome to the forum. Hi-Lo specific parts are available at the links below. Some have used an aftermarket seal as well.

Home - JR REPAIR

https://hilotrailerparts.webs.com/

Follow these instructions. They will get you access to get to the seal. Good luck.

You pretty much have to separate the top from the bottom to access the seal. Once you are there, you'll see how the seal is installed

Default Where to get seal material.

What you are looking for is 3/4 hollow Pbulb seal with one inch stem(flat part). One member found this on Ebay. Also you can try Extrusions epm .com Also try Mcmaster Carr. I sent you a PM.

In an earlier discussion, members said the pool noodles work great. They keep the space covered.

Default Pool Noodle clarification.

You raise the HiLo up and then place the pool noodles on the outside. DH even used a magic marker to label where each one went. Some noodles were cut on the ends at an angle. DH did replace the seals. J&R replaced the seals on our second HiLo 1996. Then you would have to remove the pool noodles before lowering. This is a cheap fix. Some have used foam insulation pipe wrap found at HD.
