Hi-Lo camper travel trailer forum

Hi all! A buddy of mine inherited a 1994 TowLite 18TL from his grandparents and has been storing it in my driveway since the summer. He decided he didn't have the time/money to deal with it so he sold it to me for $1500 which seems like a good price considering its condition. I'd rate it a 9/10 for its age, but it still need some things replaced. Luckily there were never any water leaks and all of the mechanical parts of it work fine minus the bathroom fan. I love the fact this thing is so light weight, supposedly under 2000lbs yet "sleeps 6" even though, more realistically it sleeps 5 max. We've already used it a couple of times and it seems perfect for camp sites w/bath houses. I haven't tried camping w/its water tank/septic yet but it is all functional and seems to be in good condition.

Immediate projects include: cleaning up battery terminals & replacing battery. Recaulking everything on the outside, replacing bulb seal & seals around door. Greasing up the cables & guide-rod and hydraulic ram underneath. Getting a new spare tire mounted. Repairing/replacing the torn awning zipper bag.

Future plans include: removal of the useless TV antenna, solar panels on roof, 100-300w planned to keep the battery topped, new custom cut bunk mattress, expanding the dinette bed to a queen size by removing the small cabinet between bathroom & dinette and possibly repainting the interior walls/cabinets & reflooring the vinyl with something more modern.

I've already been lurking on here a bit for some information and plan to share my progress as I go with the camper!
