Air con not working

New owner - 2009 19 foot. Converted power to 15 amp to park in driveway and air con will not come on. Is this normal or do I have a broken unit. Will I have to wait until we camp and attach to a 30 amp to find out if my air con works?

Yes, 15A is not enough power for the air conditioner.

Welcome to our forum! Lots of good information here for you.

I've actually been able to plug in at home and have the AC work but I've heard others have not been able to so not sure what the difference is . . .

I too can plug into my 15 amp home power and use the AC. One thing to remember, and I say this because I have been guilty of forgetting, the AC has to be plugged into an electrical outlet in your trailer, and the three way rocker switch near the door, must be in the correct position.:)

I second that! I too have forgotten both. Once (or more) to put the master switch in the correct position and forgotten to plug in the A/C after maintenance. :D

I melted an adapter to an extension cord running the air conditioner. You should use a 12 gauge extension probably no longer than 50'. 25' would be better. The longer the cord, the more voltage drop.
