Default Hello Hello Hello

My wife and I are new to this but not new to Hi Lo s. We purchased a Funlite 9626 FLBR in 97 and have used it through 2 kids and 2 dogs. Now it is time to fix all the things that have been put off. I am a retired fisheries biologist and she is still teaching parttime. The main item we are working on is the front frame....the screws rusted through and the front left side separated so we are taking it apart and doing a front end rebuild. So it is tent camping until she is ready....the hilo, not the wife. We have also had problems with raising it and amid all the confusion of deconstruction some of the wires in the battery box may or may not be on fuses correctly. I am not an electrician and cannot read a diagram worth a poop but if anyone has a photo of the battery box showing the colors of the wires going to the side mounted fuses in the battery box, it would be greatly appreciated. The solenoid was bad so I jumped the wires crossing it to raise it...our model does not have a manual lift...wish it did , so we could repair the front end. We plan to eliminate the front window and install cabinets along the front after we beef up the frame. Other than that, spring is here.

Welcome! We're a friendly bunch and sometimes, our advice is even helpful. *grin*

Sounds like you have a BIG project in store. My trailer is much newer and smaller than yours, so I don't know that my battery box is the same. I don't know of any fuses in there though. Were you perhaps talking about the two Circuit Breakers (CB) that are usually in there? If so, Post#10 in this thread is how mine is wired: http://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f51/...ry-wiring-116/ I think it's more clear than a photo.

Default Welcome to the forum.

I can appreciate all the work your doing to your HiLo. We have done extensive wall rebuilding for water damage. When we did our work in 2012 we used heavy duty liquid nails that has held up quite well. Someone on another forum said to use Locktite caulk. We are here to help you in any way we can. If you lived closer I would send DH over to help with your electrical. Keep posting and enjoy your retirement.
