Hey everyone. We just rescued this precious soul
From being a Goat house. The billy goats name was Topaz... hence the campers new name. Not sure of the year or model. And advice would be great. Just saying hello. We’ve recently restored a scotty. And have fallen in love with vintage camper restoration.

:) Well- we are all gonna enjoy watching you restore this! But do it! That is some serious wall and siding work. If it was me, I'd take the top off and start re-doing the whole bottom. How much water damage inside?? Spend hours and hours combing through the wealth of posts on this site including the ones who have done total rebuilds. You will need to detach the cables and , likely, farm jacks to lift the tope off. And welcome to the site!!

Here is a good link to all the Hi-Lo brochures. It might help you identify the year.

Thank you! Actually th water damage to the top
Half is minimal. Just repairing the “paneling” and the top should be ready to go. And believe it or not.. the flooring is in really good shape... we will probably replace it... but he had it stuffed full of cushion stuffing and it protected all the inside from the elements... it’s just the front corner near the door where the billy Goat demolished it that we will need to repair. We plan on the bottom being a complete rebuild and keeping the top. But we are super excited!

Great thank you! We have looked into this. And ours is a 9 foot 12 if you include the tongue and I can’t seem to find one with the table to the right... appliances on the wall as soon as you step in and a bench to the left. But we found one on google that was a 61 with the same floor plan. Once we discover the vin and empty all the “stuffing” we will know more! Thank you so much

Piece Of Cake!! Welcome to the forum. If you re-did a Scotty, you can do this. Cables are about the only thing that's really unique. There are several members who have separated the halves, just please be safe.
You should be ready to camp in a month or so!
