I picked up a 1991 Funchaser for $325. 2 weeks ago I didn’t know much about a HI-LO but I think I’m hooked. There was a soft spot in the bathroom floor that turned out to be a bigger job than I thought but it’s coming together. The lower walls are very solid. While I have the back of the camper out I’m going to replace the bath walls with the waterproof sheets from Lowe’s. Windows have leaked so they need to be removed and resealed. While they are out I will replace all of the wood and insulation. The plan for now is to get the floor replaced and everything put back together, then it will spend the winter at deer camp, I’ll get to work on the walls next year. Everything on this camper works, I’m pretty sure the Oven has never been used. The only problem i haven’t found an answer to is where the converter would have been located? The person I bought it from didn’t know much about it so they weren't much help. I can’t find where a converter was ever mounted but I’m pretty sure it was standard in these models. Best converter hasn’t been able to help me because I don’t have a model number for the original converter. Could someone with the same model post some pics? This looks like a great forum, glad to be part of it.

It would be somewhere in the lower half - mine is next to the refrigerator. It will be located in the same area as the inside fuse panel, if you've found that. You could also trace the shore power cord to it. I can't be more specific since they are in somewhat different positions depending on your model.

Welcome to our happy band!

Converter location.

I had a 1990 25ft RD Classic HiLo. The converter was located on the drivers side under the sofa. Hope this helps.
