New to forum

New owner of 2209 HI LO. After putting new brakes, new awning fabric, new atwood a/c[never knew a a/c could be so quiet],adjusted cables to level top, new caulk on windows and roof seams think I might be ready for my first trip.

Welcome to the forum

From your description it sounds like you are off to a good start. Don't forget to lube the cables and the guide rod. Happy first maiden voyage.

Thanks sam. the front was 2.5 inches than the rear. someone maybe changed a cable or two. I have been rv,ing since 1975 and had more trailers and motorhomes than I care to remember. Got pretty good at doing most of the work myself. I plan on taking it to Midget rv in Belville this fall and let Joel go over it. Do you know anything about them? I understand they all worked at the HI LO factory.

I believe Joel was the plant manager at the time Hi-Lo shut down. JR Repair was the the warranty repair service for Hi-Lo and have been around a long time. Jim and Rob are good fellows, I met them when helping my dealer friend.

Welcome to the forum HH. Sounds like you have a handle on the situation. Good to hear someone else in Fla has a Hi Lo. I'm as far south west as you can go. The only place we can camp is in the Glades or up North!;):)

Good repair places

It has been reported on this forum that both JR and Midget do excellent repair work.Defeniately get an apt. I think JR gives a 10%discount for work in the off season.

HH, we generally stay at state parks in the south east. Locally, we go to Oscar Scherer, between Venice and Sarasota. Osprey, Fl. The Pan Handle and the mountains of Tenn., Ga. Alabama and both Carolinas. A Sept plan is the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Taking our time getting there and back. We'll see what happens. You do anything local?

We had a trip planned with friends from Nokomis to Seattle. Vancouver IS Banff Glacier and Yellowstone the end of Aug. but they can,t go do to health reasons so we are going to Prince Edward IS Canada.
